‘Dog Days of Summer’ continues in downtown Wildwood

WILDWOOD – Downtown Wildwood continues its “Dog Days of Summer” event schedule through Labor Day weekend.

The business district hosts daily events at Byrne Plaza, which offers something for everyone, both residents and visitors. Byrne Plaza is located in the middle of the 5 Mile Wildwoods Island and just two blocks from the Wildwoods boardwalk.

The Wildwood Town Center Farmer’s Market

This is held every Saturday through Labor Day weekend, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. More than 70 vendors fill both sides of Pacific Avenue between Schellenger and Oak Avenues. Customers can purchase farm produce, baked goods, specialty foods, sandwiches, beverages, beer, wine, craft spirits, jewelry, handmade soaps and candles, apparel and even more. Parking is free and you can also pick up magnets and tote bags from downtown Wildwood.

A full program of activities and entertainment events also takes place during the “Dog Days of Summer”.

5 Fabulous Days of Fitness in the Square

It’s 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. This includes Boot Camp circuit training with Dion on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. It’s $10 for practice. All equipment provided. Zumba with Gayle is Tuesdays and Thursdays. It’s $5 for this workout.

Music in the Square

Free live bands take over the Byrne Plaza stage on Thursday nights from 7:30-9 p.m. Dine at one of the restaurants in downtown Wildwood, then dance under the stars with these dance groups.

Movies on the Square

Tuesday night is free family movie night in downtown Wildwood! Bring chairs and blankets and enjoy family movie night under the stars. Popcorn and candy will be sold at Byrne Plaza, along with many other food and drink options. The movies start as soon as the sun goes down. Parking is free.

July 26 @ 8:15 p.m. – Luca
August 9 at 8 p.m. – Rio 2
August 16 at 7:50 p.m. – Ron was wrong
August 23 at 7:40 p.m. – Encanto
