Ready to become one of the most instagrammable places in South Delhi, French pastry shop Ladurée has entered Indian shores with its first outlet at Khan Market.

The 159-year-old French pastry shop is one of those traditional brands that bring more than food to the table; it leads to conversations. He speaks of history, anthropology and French culinary passion with the greatest respect. Without speaking about, The duration also holds an important role in pop culture. He provided macaroons for the film Marie Antoinette and Gossip Girlthe protagonist of Blair Waldorf in the series.

After gifting people all over the world with its world-famous two-tiered macaroons and French toast, the brand is finally here to serve Delhiites, and the list across India will only continue to grow.

Parked in the middle of the chic alleyways of Khan Market, Ladurée is a sight to behold. The three-story building offers different experiences on each level. The ground floor is more user-friendly with limited seating. Here you can indulge in all the French pastries, macaroons, other delicacies they present. However, the second and third floors are ideal for sit-down teas and brunches / lunches, overlooking the lush and bustling scenes of Khan Market. What immediately catches your eye is the sleek French aesthetic that seems to be an extension of Ladurée’s international outlets. Pistachio green and soft pink hues brighten up the place, complementing the floral walls and white-green upholstery. And the round hanging lamps and mirrors make the restaurant more spacious. It’s easy on the eyes and totally Instagammable!

More than macaroons, Ladurée, like any other historic French brand, prides itself on making food fashionable. For example, take the Tarte Milady. Adorned with raspberry jelly, pistachio crunch, rose whipped cream and a Ladurée brand logo, this light yet hearty dessert is friendlier than my selfie. And that continues with the rest of their menu. The most favorite on their menu of an Indian palace experience is French toast. However, I would rather go for eggs (French master eggs) and pastries. And if soothing drinks are your poison, go for creative teas, infusions (teas), and non-alcoholic cocktails.

Introduced in India by Chandni Nath Israni, co-founder of the CK Israni group, Ladurée also cements the historic significance of the brand with the historical relevance of Khan Market. I’m saying that after being sequestered at home for almost two years, this pastry shop seems like a perfect place to meet and greet each other over delicious sweet and savory.
