Southdown Coffee will soon open in the New Village apartment complex in Patchogue

This increasingly popular café is making its debut on the South Shore.

Southdown Coffee is coming soon to Tritec’s New Village development in downtown Patchogue.

The coffee company has leased 2,126 square feet of retail space at 1 Village Green Way, where the former Hometown Bake Shop once operated.

An opening date has yet to be announced.

Specializing in high-quality coffee and handmade dishes, customers can have a cup of coffee, meet up with friends, have breakfast and use the cafe as a workspace.

“New Village’s mixed-use development has helped completely revitalize Patchogue,” said Chris Kelly, vice president of marketing at TRITEC. “The arrival of a tenant such as Southdown Coffee, which has multiple locations on Long Island, will provide tenants and community members with a place to gather.”

Other Southdown Coffee locations include Glen Cove, Oyster Bay, Huntington, Northport and most recently Port Jefferson, which opened this month.

This is a developing story. Come back with for more details.
