Latin Restaurant Weeks

From Friday to June 30

Latin Restaurant Weeks returns for its fourth year this Friday, feeding hungry locals and raising awareness among Houston’s Latin chefs, restaurateurs, caterers and bartenders. More than 50 Houston spots will feature special dishes and menus showcasing a wide range of traditional Latin American cooking techniques, including Gloria’s Latin Cuisine, Las Brasas Charcoal Chicken, 5411 Empanadas, Chilosos Taco House, Corn, Segundo Coffee Lab and more.

Eureka Heights has partnered with The Dumpling Dudez for a colorful beer and dumpling pairing, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Montrose Center. Each to-go pack comes with four 16-ounce cans of Lavender Bunny Cream Ale, along with cooking instructions and a dozen rainbow dumplings in flavors including pork, leek and shiitake mushrooms, vegan curry mash and the Korean bulgogi bacon cheeseburger. Pre-orders are $40 and kits will be available for pickup at the Eureka Heights Brewery from 4-7 p.m.

Home to Barbara Jordan’s former post office, POST Houston will host her June 16 partyhonoring civil rights leader Barbara Jordan and honoring black heritage through storytelling, cultural performances, art, lectures and food.

The Spring Branch location of Feges BBQ celebrates its first anniversary with a whole pig. Co-owner Patrick Feges will cook a whole hog on the patio, and the day will include whole hog specialties, half-price Lone Star beers and $20 Lone Star buckets, merchandise deals, sauces and rubs, and live music on the patio.
