Traditional French food markets showcase culinary delights

0

Local foodies will have a field day at two upcoming weekend markets where they’ll discover a plethora of French delicacies, drinks and wines.

While the market is deeply rooted in the French art of living, French GourMay, in partnership with Chinachem Group, is proud to present the 8th edition of the Traditional French Gourmet Market at the Central Market from May 19 to 22, and at Nina Mall I, Tsuen Wan from May 26 to 29. The opening time is from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and admission is free.

French markets are famous for their abundant choices of fresh local produce and friendly neighborhood vendors. Visitors will discover a range of exquisite grocery products: cheeses, charcuterie, pâtés, fruit jams, foie gras, caviar, as well as cakes and bouquets, not to mention the great wines of the Côtes du Rhône, the Vin d’Honneur for this year’s French GourMay Food & Wine Festival.

Visitors can also participate in master classes for a deeper understanding and appreciation of Côtes du Rhône wines; buy handcrafted souvenirs made from recycled wine bottles; enjoy digital art presented by French May Arts Festival; and photograph a virtual trip to Côtes du Rhône.

Central Market exhibitors include Beeswine, Cheese Club, Chef’s Market, Fleur de la Vie, Frenchie Toquée, Kanny’s Living Art Studio, Les Vergers de la Silve, Lillet, Maison Argaud, MCCAYLAA, Monsieur CHATTE´, Nina Patisserie, One of A Kind, Penticton, Plantin Kaviari, Propolia, Purality, Royal Caviar Club – Natural Asia Pacific, Vines and Terroirs.
