A floral muse exhibition:

An opportunity to admire the beauty of the decorative use of flowers and plants to beautify home furnishings, create stunning public spaces, and learn the symbolic cultural meanings of plants.

Date and time: weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, starting Tuesday, May 10, 10:00 a.m. Location: Benga, Heritage Hill Museum and Historic Gardens – 66 McCrae Street, Dandenong.

Chisholm

Dandenong Chisholm Institute will be holding an open day on campus on Thursday 23rd June to offer prospective students the chance to experience what it is like to study at Chisholm. “Chisholm can help you gain new skills, new careers and opportunities. You could be ready to work in just six months,” said Connor Mullan, Head of Education.

Times: 3-6 p.m. with presentations of information on the different areas of the course from 4-5 p.m.

Prospective students will be able to explore the following course areas at Chisholm, Dandenong: Automotive, Early Childhood Education and Support, Engineering, Foundation College, Hairdressing, Beauty and Makeup, Hairdressing, Hospitality, Commercial Baking and Cooking, Sports and Fitness, trades – building and construction, cabinetmaking, carpentry, electrical engineering, plumbing, VET delivered to high school students, commerce and finance, IT and cybersecurity, VCE and VCAL, higher education, community and social services.

Conversation circle

Join the Dandenong Library Conversation Circle and make new friends while practicing English in a friendly, relaxed and safe environment. This program is suitable for adults. Low to intermediate levels of English skills are required.

When: every Thursday during school terms from 6 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.

winter warming crafts

Each day, a new winter-themed craft activity will be available for kids to style, decorate, and take home and use at Aramada Dan.

Monday, June 27 – Beanie Decorating – receive a free beanie to decorate and style.

Tuesday, June 28 – Ear Muff Art – receive free earmuffs to decorate.

Wednesday, June 29 – Glove Puppets – create your own glove puppets.

Thursday, June 30 – Hot Chocolate Mug Art – receive a mug to personalize and decorate.

Friday July 1 – Snowman Making – create your own snowman to take home.

Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, free.

What: Armada Dandenong Plaza is calling on all mini chefs to guess the ingredients and then create a different tasty dish every day during the second week of the school holidays.
